General Terms
The following terms and conditions apply to all transaction on our website. The use of this website and or the placing of an order indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully and print a copy for future reference. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights. To order goods through this website you must be over 18 years of age. We will treat each order for goods as an offer by you to purchase the goods from us THE TANK FACTORY subject to these terms and conditions.
Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalogue, and click on Add to Basket for any items that you wish to buy, and they will be automatically placed in the Shopping Basket. After you have finished your selection, click on View Basket from there you will be able to amend, checkout and complete your order.
Through Paypal we accept Visa, MasterCard, Switch, Solo, Delta and American Express. We also accept, Cheques (please allow 7 days to clear), Postal Orders and Bank Draft by mail.
Delivery Schedule
On cleared funds we aim to despatch your order right away. UK orders are normally received in 3-5 business days. International orders are generally received in 5-10 business days.
Whilst every reasonable effort shall be made to keep any delivery schedule, time of delivery shall not be of the essence and we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages or expenses incurred by the Customer or any other person or company arising directly or indirectly out of any failure to meet any estimated delivery schedule. Delivery of the Goods shall be made to the Customer's Paypal address (if paying by Paypal) and the Customer shall make all arrangements necessary to take delivery of the Goods.
Delivery Charges
We mainly use Parcel Force Standard insured delivery for UK orders. It normally takes about 3 working days in practice. This is the time it takes Parcel Force to deliver the goods to you after they are collected from us, not from the time your order is placed. Peripheral areas may take a little longer. We also deliver internationally. Delivery charge quoted is for purchase of one item only. We reserve the right to make an additional charge if that cost is exceeded. Please email for internationally delivery charges.
Ordering From Overseas
Import/Customs duties and Taxes may apply. These are out of our hands and vary from country to country and must be paid by the customer.
Description and Price of Goods
All images, descriptive matter, specifications and advertising on our site are for the sole purpose of giving an approximate description of the goods. All prices are shown in UK Pounds Sterling (GBP). We are reserve the right to make adjustments to the price to take account of any price increases, taxes, duties, or other, or if due to an error or omission the price published for the goods is incorrect. We will inform you of the correct price and give you the opportunity to cancel the order. All prices on our website are exclusive of delivery charges which will be payable as indicated at the time of placing your order.
We reserve the right to alter specification and prices, without notice in accordance with manufacturers and suppliers changes when necessary.
Typographical Errors
In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical error or error in pricing information from our suppliers, we shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders listed at the incorrect price whether or not the order has been confirmed or paid for. If you have already been charged and we subsequently cancel your order, we will refund you the value of the incorrect price charged.
Availability of Goods
All products and services are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. If an item you ordered is not in stock, we will back order it for you if required. If we do not supply the goods for any reason we will refund any moneys already paid for the goods. However, we will not be responsible for compensating you for any other losses you may suffer if we do not supply the goods.
Back Orders
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Cancellations and Returns
If you wish to cancel your order please email us first at thetankfactory@yahoo.co.uk within 7 working days of receiving the goods. Please ensure that you receive a confirmation from us that your cancellation email was received. If you wish to return any goods, please likewise email us first for authorisation. You are liable for the cost of returning the goods. Goods that are sent back without authorisation from us may be refused. Returns for any reason other than our error, Post Office damage or if goods do not meet the sales of goods act are discretionary. Discretionary returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee.
Refunds will be given at the discretion of the Company management.
Any goods returned to us must be sent by insured delivery with proof of postage.
Damage in transit
If goods arrive in a damaged condition you must make a note on the carrier's delivery consignment note and it will be your responsibility to inform us within 2 days from delivery.
Shortages
It is the Customers responsibility to sign for the correct number of packages that are delivered, the Customer is required to check that the number of packages delivered equal the number of packages on the delivery drivers manifest/consignment note. Any shortages must be noted on the drivers manifest and it is the Customers responsibility to thereafter notify us within 2 days of delivery.
Incorrect Goods
It is your responsibility to notify us of any in-correct goods supplied
within 2 days from delivery.
Non-Deliveries
We will not accept liability for goods lost in transit unless we are notified within 7 days from the expected delivery date.
We shall accept no liability for shortages, non-deliveries, incorrect goods and goods damaged on delivery outside the reported timescales.
Credit Card Security
We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our Paypal shopping system over the Internet. All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.
PayPal uses the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available). If your browser does not currently contain or support the 128-bit encryption level, you may need to upgrade it to be able to access the PayPal website and conduct transactions.
Guarantee
If an item is faulty or damaged please notify us within 2 days and return it complete with all manuals etc in original packaging within 3 days for a replacement (if in stock) or a refund. Your statutory rights are not affected.
